Policies & Requirements

Policies & Requirements:

In addition to the interview (which is a temperment test), we require the following:

  1. Daycare, Boarding, Training, and Grooming dogs must meet same conditions. 
  2. Dogs must be at least 16 weeks of age. 
  3. Application, waiver and vaccination records must be received before the interview.
  4. Dogs over six months of age must be spayed or neutered unless there is a medical condition that prevents the procedure from being performed (retained testicle, etc).
  5. Health form or proof of the following vaccinations signed by your Veterinarian; Rabies, Bordatella, and Distemper.  All vaccinations should be administered at least 10 days prior to daycare, boarding, training and grooming. Please provide proof of vaccinations prior to your interview or participation in any event at Ocean Dog Club LLC.  
  6. For dogs over 6 years of age, we require a sign off from your veterinarian.
  7.  We require using a topical flea and tick prevention.  Flea collars are not permitted. 
  8. All dogs must have a quick release buckle collar, no buckles, and no choke/prong collars (or excessive bling) permitted during their stay.

 

Per the City of Pawtucket Ordinance 116.37.1 It shall be unlawful for any person to own, possess, keep, exercise control over, maintain, harbor, transport, or sell within the City any pit bull dog (American Staffordshire Terrier).

What if my pup fails the interview or is unable to stay in daycare?

Not  to worry, some dogs just need a little help learning how to participate in daycare.  It doesn’t mean they aren’t  loveable, good dogs.  We can help with this either through some training or assist you in finding a different environment.

 

CANCELLATION POLICY:

If for some reason you cannot make your scheduled appointment for Daycare, Boarding, Training or Grooming, please let us know as soon as possible.  

Daycare:  If you need to cancel just call us to let us know. There is no penalty as long as we get a phone call 24 hours of a reservation day. If less than that the owner will be charged 50% the cost of the reservation.  If this happens once, it will be forgiven.

Boarding:  Must cancel 48 hours prior to booking. If its canceled the day of the booking a $40. cancellation fee will be charged. HOLIDAY BOOKINGS-are usually paid in advance on the 1st day of the month the holiday is in. Ex-Nov 1st for Thanksgiving, Dec 1st for Christmas. If the holiday falls at the first of the month then it is due the month prior. Holiday bookings are non-refundable. Holidays bookings are any days that fall during these holidays: New Years, Valentines Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas

Training:  Must be paid in advance of first class. If the minimum enrollment for a class is not met 3 days prior to the first class session, the class will be cancelled and rescheduled.  If you cannot attend the newly scheduled class, a refund will be given.  You will be contacted with the new schedule information.  

If a dog is unable to attend due to an injury or illness during enrollment, you will recieve a prorated amount towards another class, not greater than 50%.

Students enrolled in a group class will be required to attend the first session. Students who  miss the first class session without making prior arrangements do not qualify for a refund of class fees.  They will be allowed to continue the remaining sessions at the discretion of the trainer.

Grooming:  Notice must be given within 24 hours of a reservation day, if less than that the owner will be charged 50% the cost of the reservation.  If this happens once, it will be forgiven.
